A case of lingual thyroid in 10 years old girl is presented with the use of radioactive iodine(131I) and scintigram for the diagnostic evaluation. A brief review of literature on the incidence, etiology and development, symptomatology, diagnosis, and treatment of the lingual thyroid was done.
