A 54-year old female patient was transferred to the department of ouclear medicine for a gastric emptying study. She was suffered from diabetes mellitus for 2 years. Gastric emptying study of liquid meal (" Tc-DTPA 500 uCi in 300 ml saline) showed a reflux of a liquid bolus from duodenal bulb to gastric antrum at 104 minute image. The bolus returnc;d to duodenum at 107 and 108 minute images (Fig. A). This to-and-fro movement of liquid meal was clearly demonstrated in the time-activity curvcs of gastric antrurn and duodenal bulb (white arrow heads, Fig. B).
